Application for International Driving Permit or Inter-American Driving Permit

International Drivers Still in the U.S.A.

If you'd rather obtain your IDP through the mail, package your completed application form, two original passport-size photos, a photocopy of both sides of your driver's license, and $17.34 (the $15 permit fee, $1.34 tax and $1 for domestic mailing) and mail it to the following address listed below.

International Drivers Outside of U.S.A.

If you are currently overseas, you mail your completed application to the above address. Please include $20.34 (the $15 permit fee, $1.34 tax, plus $4 for international mailing). We recommend using an overnight service such as Airborne, FedEx or UPS; include one of these carriers mailers as a self-addressed return envelope.
